What does PLR mean for Pete’s Sake?
Posted by: | CommentsIt’s so close to New Year’s Eve going out time and I decided that I would quickly post for you before I get changed and go out. My kids are away overnight and so for the first time since I became a mother, I get to go out on New Year’s Eve – WOW! It used to be my favourite night of the year – and I haven’t done it since 1994!!
Anyway – I digress. I keep being asked about PLR – what does it stand for and what is it?
PLR is an acronym for Private Label Content. What Private Label Content is, is a series of articles that you can purchase, which you can then use as if you have written them. Purveyors of PLR sell you the right to publish these articles as your own. In the main, PLR articles are frowned upon as what tends to happen is that thousands of people buy the same PLR articles and then try to submit them to sites as their own and obviously, the people who evaluate each article aren’t daft, when they see the same article repeatedly, they know it isn’t written by the author who submitted it!
Some PLR sites are very good though. Here is one. The reason that this one is better than the majority is because they don’t sell unlimited copies of their articles. They sell a finite number of each and they have a wide variety of topics.
So, now you know!
Happy New Year everyone. Be safe and let’s hear it for 2010 – our year of ACTION!!!!
Here’s to 2010
Posted by: | CommentsHello! I hope that your Christmas was wonderful, if you don’t celebrate Christmas, I hope that you have had a lovely week since last we spoke.
I am now bedding in for a year of helping you earn from home. My first bit of assistance is for those of you who are already a bit tech-savvy; scroll down to the bottom of this page and you will find a search engine for online jobs with a technical slant. For those of you not so technical, but pretty good with the written word, it is worth you looking too – some of these jobs are for people to write articles etc and may well be appropriate.
Keep checking back because this blog is about to EXPLODE with work from home ideas, links and e-courses. The first ecourse is going to be on affiliate marketing for total newbies (dummies) to technology. Add your name to my list straight away, so you don’t miss out.
Make 2010 your year for working from home!
Two Truly AWFUL Stages of Motherhood
Posted by: | CommentsI have been a mother for 14 years (well, if you count my time being pregnant too!) and I have found, over those years that whilst most things about having children and their childhood years are wonderful, there are two dreadful stages of motherhood that nothing at all can prepare you for. Today is a Good Day!
Posted by: | CommentsToday, I am feeling excited, energised and looking forward to Christmas and to 2010.
You know how something can happen that sort of twists your perspective on something and then you suddenly see it clearly? Sort of like those weird 3D pictures that seem to be fuzzy patterns and then all at once, the picture jumps out at you – you know the ones I mean? Well, I’ve had one of those days. Read More→
Just a quick request…
Posted by: | CommentsWhen you come to my site, you will notice that there is a pop up window either open, or trying to open. It is a survey that will take you under one minute to complete and I would really, really appreciate it if you could spare me that one minute.
Thanks
love Sarah
Affiliate Marketing in Plain English!
Posted by: | CommentsThe phrase “affiliate marketing” means different things to different people. To the vast majority, it is ’something to do with the internet’, to the vaguely aware it is ‘a way of earning money online – but I don’t really understand it’ and for yet others it is ‘one of those internet scams that doesn’t work’ and of course there are those who are thinking “affiliate what?”!
In actual fact, affiliate marketing is a fully legitimate way of making an income online. It involves promoting someone else’s product for them and earning a commission for doing so. These products are usually electronic products that can be downloaded by the purchaser after payment and so you, as an affiliate, don’t have to worry about delivery etc. Commissions can be as high as 75% in some cases. Affiliate marketing can be very lucrative and with some work it can be a way of ultimately creating a decent income. The problem is that it is too often promoted as a get rich quick scheme, which is absolutely isn’t!
Taken seriously, and done properly, affiliate marketing can be an ideal way to work from home. The problem is, how to do it properly? Like everything that is worth doing, this is something that is worth doing well and that means, as always, that it is a lot of work. Setting up an affiliate website that actually works and makes sales is a detailed and painstaking process. However, once it is done, you will be left with a site that sits there and generates money for you, to the rate of somewhere between a few hundred dollars a month, up to about a thousand dollars a month.
