A Really Proud Mum!
Posted by: | CommentsToday, I taught my daughter to ride a bike. I am so proud of her. It was a 10 minute job and she was whizzing around like a pro. And it made me think…..
My daughter didn’t believe that she could ride the bike, although I knew that she would be able to, because she has an excellent sense of balance and she is fairly fearless! The reason that she managed to ride so quickly is that she believed in my belief in her. She trusts me and knew that if I said she could do it, I was probably right.
So, a lesson to be learned here, methinks: If you are struggling with self belief, you need someone who knows you and believes in you and you need to borrow their belief in you until your belief in yourself catches up.
Interesting thought hey?

Moving house
Posted by: | CommentsI have moved house so many times that I have lost count. I do quite enjoy the thrill of the move – you know, new house, new area, new experiences etc – but I have to tell you, I loathe the actual moving!
When I lived in Botswana, moving house was a really odd experience. Two nice chaps turned up with a flat bed truck, piled it ridiculously high with our stuff and then using old bits of rope and odds and ends, tied the whole lot onto the truck (not covered!) and drove it to our new house. Several trips later and it was done. Simple, if alarming!
Here however, it’s a different story; do you move yourself, or get someone to move you? Do you pack yourself, or (if you are in a position to do so) pay someone to pack for you? Can you manage to drive a huge truck yourself? These and many other questions…..
Well, a friend of mine has moved house recently and it was all organised and she was very happy with the arrangements, when at the last minute, the whole plan collapsed. her blood pressure went through the roof and it looked likely that she was going to have to call the whole thing off. However, she found these guys: the house removals company online and got in touch to see if they could help. They did and the service she received was really first class. I helped with the move and ended up chatting to someone from this company on the phone because it rang and I answered it as my friend was busy “supervising” (read: organising everyone in a somewhat flustered manner) and I commented to him that his company had done a great job. We got chatting about websites and blogs and things and I promised him that I would mention his company on my blog, because they truly saved the day for my friend.
So, if you are moving, take a look at them. My experience is that they are very good indeed.

I've been really busy….
Posted by: | CommentsHello.
I’m sorry for the break in posts, I have been really busy (and away for the weekend) and so I just didn’t get time! So, I’m back
I have been working on the affiliate marketing course that I am writing for you. I am trying to make sure that I get the content absolutely right in terms of being for total beginners, without being patronising! You’d be surprised at how hard that can be sometimes
Anyway, it is on it’s way, I’m hard at work and I will be posting at my usual rate from now on.

A Little Bit Of Spleen Venting Does You Good!
Posted by: | CommentsHello
I did something quite unusual for me – I vented my spleen – IN WRITING! It isn’t remotely unusual for me to vent my spleen, but I don’t normally get EzineArticles to publish it!
I seem to have caused a bit of a stir. Have a read (it’s only short) and come back and tell me what you think. http://bit.ly/ChildrenInDanger

Make Mealtimes Easy…
Posted by: | CommentsI normally write about work, but today I thought I’d write about my daughters.
There are 5 years between my two daughters. My eldest was a really happy, smiley baby, who ate absolutely everything I ever fed her. I became secretly smug about my having “just done it right” as far as feeding was concerned, after all, I had all the evidence I needed – my child ate everything! Then daughter number 2 was born…
From the moment we started the whole weaning process, it became apparent that I knew nothing! My youngest refused food before she was able to chew! She just firmly closed her mouth and turned her head away. I couldn’t believe it – how is it possible to have two daughters and have two such different attitudes to food? My attitude hadn’t changed at all – so how come daughter number 2 was soooo fussy?
Roll forward 8 years and number 2 is still quite picky and is very suspicious of “new” foods. However, she is nothing like she used to be and eats a good variety of food – but boy, it hasn’t been easy.
Whilst I was net surfing recently I found the most FANTASTIC site for busy mothers and fussy eaters and I really wanted to show it to you – however, the picture on the clickable link below says it so much better than I ever could
Enjoy this site
